Lincoln Park council approves consent agenda and special-event permits; roll calls record unanimous votes among present members

Council moved to adopt the consent agenda, which included approval of the June 8, 2026 regular meeting minutes, counts and claims payable, a CDBG rehabilitation loan and a renewal of a used-auto dealer license at 1590 Southfield Road. The clerk called the roll; all members present voted yes and Councilperson Bare was recorded absent.
Council then approved a special-event permit for the Knights of Columbus Council picnic to be held Aug. 8, 2026, at 3528 Fort Street, subject to cleanup, parking restrictions and proof of insurance. Officials confirmed police and fire had signed off on the closure of an alley for the event before moving and supporting the motion.
A second special-event permit was approved for Little Brittle’s grand opening set for July 5, 2026, at 22714 Fort Street, likewise conditioned on cleanup, parking enforcement and a final fire inspection. Council members asked staff to confirm that the fire department’s final inspection had been scheduled; staff said the inspection had been set.
All formal motions were approved by roll call with the same pattern of yea votes among attending members. No amendments or recusals were recorded.
The council proceeded to the city manager’s report after the votes.
