The Village of Stone Park Board on April 8 approved payment of bills totaling $172,199.58 for the billing period March 25 to April 8, 2025. Trustee Marco A. Gutierrez presented the expenditures, which included $115,141.07 from the General Fund, $55,808.51 from the Water Fund and $1,250.00 in Debt Service.
Trustee Gutierrez moved to approve payment of the bills and Trustee Marco T. Paz seconded. The board took a roll-call vote and every trustee voted aye; the motion passed.
Clerk Laura Cassidy-Hatchet told the board the Stone Park website is "now 90% completed" and thanked department heads and Deputy Clerk Nancy Garcia for their work building the site; she said a link will be sent to elected officials for review and the goal is to go live May 1.
Mayor Beniamino Mazzulla reminded the board of the Open Meetings Act packet-timing requirement (48+ hours) and urged trustees to "vote based on the research and facts," a reminder the village says is intended to encourage fact-based decision-making and compliance with meeting rules. The minutes record no attorney report, no new business, and no closed-session discussion at this meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
