At the Sept. 9 meeting the Lamberton City Council approved two building permits, authorized the sale process for a small city-owned lot and approved a one-time water-bill credit for St. Joseph's.
The permits approved were Building Permit 2024-12 for a fence at 1006 S. Elm Street (applicant Kyle Hubert) and Building Permit 2024-13 for a shed at 208 3rd Ave. W. (applicants Lee and Beth Schaffran); both motions passed unanimously (Bittner/Pfarr and Irlbeck/Bittner, respectively). The council also approved a one-time credit of $417.65 to St. Joseph's after staff said the facility experienced a water leak that drove unusually high usage (motion Irlbeck/Bittner, unanimous).
Council also authorized proceeding with the process to sell a platted lot at the end of Juniper Street (First Ave. lot) so a buyer could build a garage; motion passed unanimously (Knutson/Bittner). Separately, the council instructed staff to allow the city’s code-enforcement contractor (CSO) to proceed with disputing a complaint and follow the ordinance-violation process for the property at 410 Fir Street (motion Pfarr/Irlbeck, unanimous).
Council asked staff to gather more information about utility easements Dollar General previously prepared for utilities at the rear of its property before taking further action. No final decision on the easements was taken on Sept. 9.
