The special meeting is intended to produce the preliminary budget that the council must adopt before the end of September; any final tax levy action will follow the statutorily required public-notice and hearing steps. No dollar totals for the 2025 preliminary budget were presented at the Sept. 9 meeting; specific line-item amounts were not specified.
