Chanceford Planning Commission approves minutes, hears Delta Road property comments and schedules solar and church hearings

At its June 17 meeting the Chanceford Township Planning Commission approved May minutes, heard public comments on a potential cartway at 2280 Delta Road and a possible subdivision, noted a postponed zoning hearing, and scheduled hearings for a solar array (July 22) and church variances (Aug. 21).
The Chanceford Township Planning Commission met June 17 at the township building in Brogue and approved its minutes from May 20, 2025.
Ralph Daugherty, a commission member, moved to approve the May 20 minutes “as presented.” Bruce Miller, the vice chairman, seconded the motion and it carried, according to the minutes.
The meeting opened the public comment period. Ed Kuehne described options for his property at 2280 Delta Road and discussed pursuing a cartway; the commission recommended that he ask the Board of Supervisors for a 25-foot right-of-way. Gregg Lehr and Terry Flory asked about subdividing a jointly owned parcel between their existing properties; the commission recorded the inquiry but no formal application was filed at this meeting.
The commission noted that Dave Gemmill’s zoning hearing, originally scheduled for June 23, was postponed indefinitely. The commission also recorded that Integrated Consulting has a special-exception zoning hearing for a solar energy system proposed at 2161 Delta Road on July 22; commissioners reviewed the solar ordinance at the meeting. Separately, a special-exception application and two variance requests for Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 51 Muddy Creek Forks Road are scheduled for a zoning hearing on Aug. 21.
With no further business, member Ralph Daugherty moved to adjourn; Marla Allen seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
