The Dickinson Township Board of Supervisors on Aug. 21 voted to remove a Park & Recreation Board member, received an update on ongoing code-enforcement work at Cherokee Campground, and approved new resident communications tools and a customer satisfaction survey for a six-month trial.
Vice Chairman Robert Line moved and the board unanimously approved removing Angelique Hartman from the Park & Recreation Board for lack of communication and meeting attendance.
Zoning/Codes Enforcement Officer Glenn Kelso reported the township is "working with the owners to come into compliance" at Cherokee Campground and said inspections will continue on a regular basis; Supervisor Rob Kole commended staff for handling the matter.
On outreach, the board discussed right-to-know and privacy concerns for a proposed customer service survey and agreed to add a disclaimer. The voluntary survey will be available in the township office, on the website and via email, and the board approved a six-month pilot period. The board also agreed to expand mass notifications by adopting an email/text notification service and to continue using the township's Facebook page for information (the page does not accept comments). The township will publicize the new tools in the next newsletter.
Outcomes recorded in the minutes include the unanimous removal of a Park & Recreation Board member, approval of the satisfaction survey for a six-month trial with a disclaimer, and direction to move forward with mass email/text notifications and existing Facebook information posts.
