The board said adopting the ordinance is required to preserve homeowners' access to flood insurance under the new maps.
The adoption was passed by unanimous vote. No specific changes to individual parcels or map boundaries were discussed during the meeting; Kelso indicated the maps and updated ordinance language will be those provided by FEMA and associated implementing regulations.
