Jamie Scherich, the authority’s finance manager, told the board the organization is prepared for changing fiscal conditions and said $357,000 from the sale of Derry Business Park will be added to the financial statements. He also noted an increase in administrative income driven by timely contractor billing and discussed potential grants for commercial redevelopment and housing rehabilitation.
Maher-Duessel Principal Auditor Samantha Strejek and Audit Manager Holly Ackerman reviewed auditor responsibilities, described audit-process changes from the prior year and reported no problems or inconsistencies in the 2025 audit.
Rebecca Parry moved to approve the previous month’s financials; Matthew Helinski seconded and the motion was carried unanimously. Brian Merdian moved to accept the 2025 annual audit; Helinski seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
The approvals leave the authority with an updated financial statement reflecting the Derry Business Park sale; the board did not specify further budgetary actions at the meeting.
The board recessed for an executive session later in the agenda to discuss personnel matters and returned to complete remaining business.
