Chair Walt Hautala called the regular meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and the board approved the agenda by voice vote. The consent agenda passed and included payrolls and bills totaling $1,356,598.83 and the Feb. 3, 2025 regular meeting minutes.
Director LaFrenier moved and Director Gross seconded approval of a 12‑week FMLA leave for an employee, effective at the start of the 2025–2026 school year through Nov. 14, 2025; that motion passed unanimously. A subsequent resolution to move to a four‑day school week, also presented as effective the 2025–2026 school year, was moved by Director LaFrenier and seconded by Director Undeland. The board took a roll‑call vote: Ayes — Directors Hautala and LaFrenier; Nayes — Directors Gross, Baudhuin, Undeland and Adams. The resolution failed.
On policy, Director Baudhuin moved and Director Undeland seconded adoption of Policy 208 (Development, Adoption, and Implementation of Policies) on its second reading; the board approved the policy.
The board approved a slate of spring coaching assignments across baseball, softball, golf and track, including Austin Mount as head baseball coach and Matt Zimmer as head softball coach, along with numerous assistant and volunteer coaches as presented on the agenda. The board also approved a price quotation from Colorado Time Systems for pool scoreboard accessories and installation.
Administrators and directors approved an Early Childhood Sliding Fee Scale and Early Childhood Eligibility Criteria as presented, and accepted three monetary donations of $1,000 each earmarked for the YIA Food Pantry, STEAM — Robotics and the Class of 2026 prom.
Reports were provided under separate cover. The board listed its next regular meeting as April 7 (the minutes transcribe the year as 2024, which conflicts with the March 3, 2025 meeting date). The meeting adjourned at 6:07 p.m.
