Mendota council sets 2025 levy, approves minutes and bills in 5-0 votes

At its Sept. 10 meeting the Mendota City Council approved several routine but required actions, voting unanimously on minutes, payment of bills and a preliminary 2025 tax levy.
The council approved the Aug. 10, 2024 meeting minutes with one small correction. Mayor Mielke moved the minutes approval; Council Member Donnelly seconded and the motion passed 5-0.
The council then moved to pay the bills (motion by Council Member Golias; seconded by Council Member Perron). The motion passed 5-0. The clerk noted that an invoice from MSA was higher than expected.
Council set the 2025 preliminary tax levy at $170,000. Mayor Mielke moved to approve the levy and Council Member Donnelly seconded; the motion passed 5-0.
The meeting ended with the council adjourning at 8:35 p.m. following a motion by Council Member Donnelly and a second by Council Member Perron; the adjournment passed 5-0.
