The Webster Groves Special Business District approved last month’s minutes during the June 23 meeting; the motion carried with no objections recorded in the transcript.
Members reported that the recent street dance was among the best attended events the district has hosted, credited headline sponsor James Carlton and volunteers for organizing and cleanup, and said there were no known safety incidents. Organizers discussed logistics for additional summer events: participation in the community parade on Aug. 26, an after-hours gathering that day, a business coffee on Sept. 17 at the rec center, and the Shakespeare Festival on Aug. 8 at Blackburn Park (tables available for businesses but with no onsite electricity).
Participants asked about sign pickup and installation for new metal parking signs, and staff volunteers agreed to coordinate transport and vinyl application. The board set its next meeting for July 28 and adjourned after routine business.
