The Town of Mentone Council discussed preliminary work with LITE Recovery Hub on whether the town needs a Naloxbox and where it should be located. The Police Department has been collaborating with Terra Trytko of LITE Recovery Hub; the council expressed appreciation for the collaboration and requested Terra attend a future meeting to share information and answer questions.
Separately, the council discussed the need for a formal pavilion rental agreement. Members asked staff to research comparable agreements, rental rates and damage-deposit practices used by nearby communities and return recommendations at a future meeting.
No decisions or appropriations were recorded at the Feb. 4 meeting on either the Naloxbox exploration or pavilion rental policy work; both were left for future information and follow-up.
