Director of Public Safety Pavini told trustees that Officers Conley and Vasquez had been handpicked to work security details at the Democratic National Convention and the 2025 Presidential Inauguration, a development he said made him “very proud.” He also announced that Commander Sarabia will attend a Supervisor Leadership Institute session in Rosemont March 10–14 that will cover leadership, supervisor liability, and include a DISC assessment of participants.
Fire liaison Jack Giuffre presented the January 2025 Fire and Ambulance Activity Report to the board; details of call volumes and response times were provided to trustees as part of the packet.
Public Works Superintendent Jessica Ramirez reported crews plowed streets, cleaned senior homes, cleared East and West Mannheim Road and North Avenue, cleaned a sewer near Scores, performed maintenance on chainsaws, cleaned salt storage bins, collected trash throughout town and repaired streetlights on 32nd Avenue.
No formal public-safety or public-works actions were taken at the Feb. 25 committee meeting; these items were included as department reports and for informational purposes.
