Committee seeks admin access on TrailForks, prepares Trailfinder draft entry

The Andrews Community Forest committee discussed how to ensure accurate public listings for ACF trails and agreed to pursue administrative access on TrailForks and draft an entry for Trailfinder.
A member said Richmond Mountain Trails had confirmed a plan to allow an ACF admin account on TrailForks, and Merrick and others were named as contact points. "They seemed totally cool with our plan," the member said, noting he had been introduced to a TrailForks administrator and expected instructions on obtaining admin privileges.
Ian and other members outlined differences among platforms: TrailForks is widely used by mountain bikers and supports closures and condition reports; Trailfinder is regionally controlled and requires submission by an authorized person; AllTrails often lists the same trails but the committee should verify names and admin options. Members decided Ian would draft a Trailfinder/ACF page and the committee would not publish entries until the draft had group review.
The committee also discussed notification options (listservs or alerts) to push time‑sensitive information such as closures or trail days. Members agreed to coordinate with Richmond Trails Committee to keep town web pages and third‑party platforms synchronized.
