The Long Prairie City Council unanimously approved the canvass of the Nov. 5, 2024 municipal election during a special meeting at City Hall on Nov. 15, 2024, Mayor David Wright called to order at 1:00 p.m.

The minutes list the reported candidate totals for mayor as Jim Kreemer 555, Patrick Schultz 516 and write-ins 11. For council (elect two), the results recorded JoAnn Schroeder 695, Lilah Gripne 595, Larry Schroeder 363 and write-ins 90.
Council Member Lilah Gripne moved to accept the canvassing results as presented; Council Member Clint Krueger seconded. The council voted to accept the canvass, and the motion was recorded as unanimously approved. Earlier in the meeting Gripne moved to approve the special meeting agenda; Jim Kreemer seconded that motion, which also passed unanimously.
There were no further actions recorded. With no other business, Council Member Gripne moved to adjourn; Council Member Krueger seconded, and the meeting adjourned at 1:08 p.m.
