The Dubois County Commissioners on Aug. 5 approved execution of a revised CCMG paving contract and waived standard contract language after Highway Engineer Brent Wendholt said INDOT requires a formal contract for CCMG 2024-01 HAC paving projects.
Wendholt presented the paving list (including Ferdinand Road East, Holiday Lake Road and 815 South), said C&R Construction executed its portion of the revised contract, and the commissioners voted to waive the county's standard contractual language and to sign the revised contract.
Wendholt also presented a change order for HAC Paving Project 24-03 (CR 600 West) showing a net decrease of $1,776; the commissioners approved the change order unanimously. Wendholt reported that work on several paving segments is complete and that remaining paving would wait on bridge construction where noted.
On Bridge #254 (St. Anthony Road West), Wendholt said the crew was working on the north wall with pouring expected the following Tuesday and a goal to finish by Labor Day. He also raised Samsara as a potential alternative to the county's current Verizon Fleet Management product, citing customer support and timeliness concerns; no procurement decision was recorded.
The meeting minutes record motions and unanimous approvals but do not list individual mover/second names for the contract and change order motions.
