The Lake County Planning Commission recessed its June 22, 2026 meeting and agreed to continue the public hearing on file 26-25 — the One Community Project joint comprehensive plan — to June 29, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
Ann, a planning department staff member, asked the commission to postpone the hearing so a quorum of both planning commission members and county commissioners could attend. "We are requesting to continue the public hearing for file number 26-25, the One Community Project joint comprehensive plan to be continued to June 29th, 2026 at 4 p.m.," Ann said.
A motion to continue the hearing was made and seconded, and commissioners present approved the continuance by voice vote. The transcript records that commissioners Joey Edwards, Jason (recorded in the meeting as "Jason Rufo"), and Ryan Hill were present when the vote was taken; no roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
The continuance postpones any formal deliberation or decision on the One Community Project until the reconvened hearing. According to staff, the later date is intended to allow both the planning commission and county commissioners to participate in full discussion and any needed votes.
The hearing will resume at 4:00 p.m. on June 29, 2026; any members of the public wishing to speak should consult the planning department's public notice for sign-up and participation instructions.
