The Operations & Strategic Planning Committee approved three facilities projects covering outdoor and indoor athletic surfaces.
The committee approved refinishing the Rhinelander High School outdoor track for $118,162 to be performed by Upper Midwest, with funds to come from earned interest in the district’s referendum account. The committee also approved replacing the Hodag Dome indoor track using Upper Midwest full-pour polyurethane at a net cost after insurance of $31,444, with funds coming from referendum interest earnings. Finally, the committee approved patching and recoating the Hodag Dome tennis courts for $47,870, with the funds for that project coming from insurance.
All three motions were moved by Ronald Lueneburg, seconded by Merlin Van Buren, and passed by voice vote. The minutes do not record alternative bids, multi-year project timelines, or disruption schedules for athletics and physical-education use.
