President Wolfe called the Wapsie Valley Comm School District Board to order at 6:00 PM and led the Pledge of Allegiance. The board recorded Directors Auel, Kaufman, Sauerbrei and Wolfe as present; Director Aiello was excused. Board Secretary Kim Arndt and administrator Chris Hoover were listed as present. Brett Bergman was noted present and Tom Joecken was recorded as arriving at 6:16 PM.
Director Sauerbrei moved to approve the agenda as presented; Director Kaufman seconded. The motion carried on a 4-0 roll call vote.
At 6:01 PM the board entered a closed session. The minutes record a roll call vote with Directors Auel, Kaufman, Sauerbrei and Wolfe voting "all ayes" (4-0) and cite "Closed session 21.5 (i) To evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session."
