The board voted to purchase an Alto-Shaam Prodigi Pro Combi Oven from Wilson Restaurant for $20,470.00. Directors approved a 2024-25 protective-gear resolution totaling $9,549.46 and approved a Memorandum of Understanding between Wapsie Valley and Grumpy’s Event Center for CAPS. The board approved a package of board policies (401.06, 402.03, 501.03–501.09, 501.09-R(1), 501.14, 501.15, 502.06, 505.02, 603.01, 603.12, 607.02, 708, 710.01, 801.03, 803.02) and tabled policy 905.03 (Weapons in the School District) for later consideration. All motions in this section were carried 3-0.
Board members expressed a desire to begin facility projects as soon as possible; the board also agreed to hold a special meeting to discuss whether to sell or move a rural building.
