Noah Nobbe of Indiana Landmarks presented an updated local historic district map to the Crawfordsville Historic Preservation Commission on Jan. 28. Commissioners complimented the map and suggested practical improvements, including adding a legend, a compass rose and using the City's branded colors to improve clarity and public usability.
Commissioner Sue Lucas proposed adding documents, applications and the Commission mission statement to the Historic Preservation Commission’s webpage to support applicants and the public. Katie Fisher, executive assistant for Planning & Building Services, volunteered to draft the proposed webpage changes and return them to the Commission for review and publishing.
Staff raised anticipated quorum issues for an upcoming Certificate of Appropriateness review; the Commission agreed to hold a special session on Feb. 18, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. to ensure enough members can attend. With no further business, Thomas Meeks moved to adjourn, Aaron Hurt seconded and the motion passed as recorded.
