River Ridge board approves $105,000 package for solar radar speed signs and cloud service

The package also includes $1,500 per year for each cloud traffic device. PSGRC General Manager Eric Long suggested relocating an existing unit 20 to 30 yards to improve detection; staff indicated poles would be purchased from Paramount Asphalt for about $1,200 each.
On a motion by Supervisor Bob Schultz and seconded by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, the board approved My AV‑Tech LLC Estimates 24150 and 24151 to wire and install three permanent and one mobile 15" solar‑powered digital speed signs with cameras and messaging, plus cloud service, for a combined total of $105,000. The motion passed unanimously.
