At its Dec. 1 meeting, the Hogansville City Council took two formal actions: it tabled Preliminary Plat Approval for Jones Crossing Phase 3 and approved declaring a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse (last four VIN 7285) as surplus so the vehicle may be sold to another agency.
Council Member Michael Taylor moved to table the Jones Crossing Phase 3 preliminary plat; Council Member Jason Baswell seconded. The motion to table carried 5-0, postponing further council consideration of the subdivision preliminary plat.
On the surplus-vehicle item, Council Member Mandy Neese moved to approve surplus of the Police Department’s 2021 Chevrolet Traverse (last four VIN 7285); the minutes record Neese as also seconding the motion. Assistant Chief of Police James Vincent told the council that selling the vehicle with its upfitting in place offers the best financial benefit to the city. That motion also carried 5-0.
Other procedural business: the Consent Agenda was amended (added citizen appearance by Chance Williams) on a motion by Council Member Kandis Strickland, seconded by Council Member Mark Ayers, and the amended Consent Agenda was approved by a 5-0 vote.
Votes at a glance: - Consent Agenda (amend and approve): Motion to add citizen appearance and approve amended consent agenda — outcome: approved (5-0). - Jones Crossing Phase 3 (Preliminary Plat): Motion to table — outcome: tabled (5-0). - Surplus vehicle (2021 Chevrolet Traverse, last four VIN 7285): Motion to declare surplus for sale to another agency — outcome: approved (5-0).
The meeting was adjourned at 7:59 p.m.
