Chairwoman Elizabeth Lott opened the hearing and summarized the application, which seeks permission to construct an addition to a single-family dwelling within a 250-foot setback to a watercourse that feeds the Watervliet Reservoir and involves an angle-of-repose issue. Mary Beth Slevin presented the application on behalf of the applicant, Daniel Greagan.
During the public comment portion, Jesse Fraine said he was concerned about the project’s proximity to the Watervliet watershed, the drinking-water source referenced by the board. After discussion, Chairwoman Lott moved to continue the matter to the board’s June 17, 2026 meeting to allow time for additional review; the board voted unanimously to continue the hearing.
The board treated the proposal as requiring further consideration rather than immediate approval; no final determination was made at the June 3 meeting. The hearing will resume on June 17, when the applicant and any additional commenters may present further information.
