Wells said the department mailed a certified notice and that staff had confirmed the vehicle remained in the fenced backyard and had not been moved despite prior enforcement efforts.
Wells told the board the city recommended a 14-day compliance period with administrative fees and a fine of $50 per day beginning Dec. 29, 2025, if the vehicle was not removed or otherwise brought into compliance. Board members described the case as 'frustrating' given repeated noncooperation and noted the vehicle appears to be sinking into the ground.
A board member moved to accept staff recommendations, the motion was seconded, and the board voted to grant the 14-day compliance period (compliance by Dec. 28, 2025) and approve the $50-per-day fine starting Dec. 29, 2025.
Staff will monitor the property and return the matter to the board if the respondent does not comply by the deadline.
