Members emphasized better budget tracking and receipt-keeping to document how FCC funds are spent and to support grant applications. Committee members proposed a slate of community outreach and stewardship activities, including scavenger hunts, group hikes, wildlife walks and invasive species removal. The committee noted an upcoming Valley Clean-Up Day on May 2, 2026, organized by Saco River Valley Anglers, and recorded a separate need for a work day at the Town Forest to rake out wood chips.
The committee set its next meeting for May 4 and said the treasurers will be sworn in at that session. No controversial items or formal votes beyond approval of the February minutes were recorded.
