Public Works/Maintenance Aaron Wagner reported he signed up for training classes scheduled March 5–6. Wagner said GigFire is providing free internet at the old fire hall; Clerk Allas also noted GigFire is late on the water-tower rent payment. Council Member Tom Lewison said the downtown civil defense siren cable has been cut for the fourth time, which prevented the siren from sounding during recent tests, and asked Wagner to contact Fox Electric and Ancon to arrange repairs. The council approved a motion to allow Wagner to order “DO NOT TOUCH Civil Defense Siren” decals.
Council Member Tom Lewison moved and Council Member Andrew Felten seconded a motion to purchase two game cameras paid from the gambling tax fund; Mayor Leisen approved the motion. The minutes also show the council approved paying all invoices, claims and payroll on a motion by Council Member Wendel Sprung.
