The Le Sueur-Henderson School District board voted unanimously on Sept. 3 to accept a set of donations and grants to support field trips, scholarships, transportation and elementary social-emotional curriculum.
Director Schwarz introduced the resolution listing the donations: $2,479 from the Elementary PTO for spring 2024 elementary field trips; $50 from a class-of-1957 transportation scholarship fund; $2,000 from the Le Sueur Knights of Columbus to cover coach-bus transportation for a football game; and an anonymous $3,198 contribution earmarked for elementary social-emotional curriculum.
The board moved and seconded the resolution and voted 6–0 to accept the funds, with the district noting it will control and maintain grants and donations to ensure they meet the district’s goals and objectives.
Board members thanked donors and staff for facilitating grant use and said the funds will be used for the purposes specified in the resolution. There were no amendments to the motion and no public objections recorded.
