East Whiteland supervisors finalize 2025 leadership, appointments and emergency plans in unanimous reorganization

The East Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors on Jan. 6, 2025 unanimously approved a slate of 2025 organizational appointments, administrative resolutions and emergency-planning documents during its reorganization meeting.
Scott Lambert, chair of the East Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors, and Richard Orlow, vice chair, were confirmed in leadership roles after motions moved and seconded by fellow board members. The board also appointed Steven Brown, the township manager, as the township representative to the East Whiteland Township Volunteer Fire Association Board of Directors.
The supervisors adopted Resolution 1-2025 to appoint staff and consultants for 2025 and Resolution 2-2025 to fill seats on township boards and commissions, naming Ginger Pohlman to the Environmental Advisory Council, Jeff Dore and Peter Spengeman to the Historical Commission, Kent Kingan to the Malvern Public Library board, Tara Pellini to Park & Recreation (with two openings remaining), Bob Logan to the Pension Board and Todd Asousa to the Planning Commission. The board named liaisons for advisory bodies (Peter Fixler and Scott Lambert as noted) and approved Resolution 3-2025 appointing emergency services providers. Keystone Collections Group was approved as the local service tax collector under Resolution 4-2025. The board also adopted the township's 2025 fee schedule (Resolution 5-2025), established months for accepting road dedications (Resolution 6-2025), and approved delegates to the Chester County Tax Collection Committee (Resolution 7-2025).
Financial housekeeping included naming Key Bank, PLGIT, Univest/Girard and JPM Chase as depositories for township funds (Resolution 8-2025), approving authorized drivers for township vehicles (Resolution 9-2025), and setting the surety bond amount for the treasurer and assistant treasurer at $3,000,000 each.
