Browerville board approves $1.10 million in vendor claims and a slate of program and membership actions

The Browerville Public School District board approved vendor claims totaling $1,099,337.40 and took several routine program and membership actions at its March 10 meeting.
The board approved vendor payments across district accounts, including $382,736.92 from the General Fund, $554,875.13 for building construction/capital expenditures, $56,751.52 for Transportation, $41,702.46 for Food Service, $23,038.23 for Community Service, $22,427.89 for Student Activity, $1,053.89 for the Insurance Fund and a $500 Trust disbursement, for a combined total of $1,099,337.40. The motion to approve vendor claims was made by Marty Host, seconded by Gram Bentz, and carried.
In new business, the board approved 2025 summer swimming fees (mover: Jodi Hillmer; seconder: Treg Schultz). Adopted resident and student lesson pricing is $75 per session (nonresident $100). Resident family season pass is $200 and single-session admission $7; nonresident family pass $250 and single-session $10. The board also approved 2025-26 Minnesota State High School League membership (mover: Gram Bentz; seconder: Kelly Callahan), Prairie Conference membership (mover: Jodi Hillmer; seconder: Keith Noska) and raised the rate for the summer 'Tiger’s Den' childcare program to $4.00 per hour with a weekly minimum charge of $128 per child (mover: Keith Noska; seconder: Marty Host).
The board approved out-of-town travel for National BPA (May 7–11) on a motion from Treg Schultz and second by Marty Host. The board also approved the 2025–2026 school calendar (mover: Kelly Callahan; seconder: Treg Schultz) and adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
