Polk County Public Health Director Sarah Reese presented the county’s 2024–2025 Opioid Settlement Impact Report and an accompanying video to the Board on June 16, describing the advisory council, collaborative process and investments in prevention, treatment, recovery and harm reduction. Sarah Reese also outlined an Active Transportation Plan being developed in partnership with the county highway department/GIS, the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP), and the Towards Zero Deaths Coalition.
