Charlestown board approves EAC logo template; hears update that resident will repair Hedgerow Lane gate

CHARLESTOWN, Pa. — The Charlestown Township Board of Supervisors on Feb. 2 approved a logo concept for the township’s Environmental Advisory Council and received an update on an ongoing neighborhood dispute on Hedgerow Lane.
Township Manager Chris Heleniak displayed a proposed EAC logo that uses the official township map outline and adds graphics such as a bird and a tree; he said the design could be adapted as a template for other boards and commissions. Supervisors asked that the stream map shown in the township outline match the official logo’s shape and colors and suggested the oak tree graphic be altered to provide stronger contrast. The board voted to approve the design concept.
On Hedgerow Lane, Heleniak relayed an update from Zoning Officer Dan Wright that resident Ms. Eshenower plans to repair her gate but declined an invitation to meet with neighbors and two supervisors. Wright has not yet received an extermination report from neighbors and will follow up. No formal action was taken on the matter at the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:21 p.m.; the next meeting is scheduled for March 2, 2026, at the municipal building.
