Two officers take oath at Oak Park Heights City Council meeting

Officer Christopher Gower recited the oath of office, pledging to support the U.S. and Minnesota Constitutions and to faithfully discharge the duties of a police officer for Oak Park Heights.
Officer Jose Rodriguez Bonia took the oath in both Spanish and English and likewise pledged to support the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Minnesota and to faithfully discharge his duties.
The Chief noted the officers had completed field training and that new badges would be presented as a tradition; the council recessed briefly afterward for photos and applause.
