The Caledonia City Council on Aug. 26 approved a request to establish a temporary no‑parking zone on downtown streets on Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with SEMCAC (Southeast Minnesota Community Action Council) responsible for the cost of signage.
Public Works/Zoning Director Casey Klug told the council the sign would cost roughly $500. Member Dave Fitzpatrick moved to approve the no‑parking request with signage at SEMCAC’s expense; Member Ryan Stenzel seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
The council did not record additional conditions or implementation dates at the meeting; staff will coordinate sign placement and timing with SEMCAC and public works operations.
