The Wapsie Valley Community School District board voted 4-0 on Jan. 20 to table action on adding an additional HVAC unit and on FCS units, saying members needed more information before approving either purchase. Director Aiello moved the motion; Director Kaufman seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Superintendent Hoover’s report to the board had listed JH/HS HVAC work among ongoing facility items, and board members said they wanted additional details before committing to equipment purchases. After the vote, the board’s talking points noted they will seek answers to questions about the HVAC project and the FCS hoods and will schedule a follow-up meeting if further discussion is required.
The board’s decision leaves the HVAC and FCS items pending; no budget authorization or vendor awards were made on those items at the meeting. The board is expected to revisit the items after staff provides the requested information.
