The City Council of Rose Creek voted March 7 to accept a contract with LTD Broadband, moving forward with a municipal broadband agreement after the company’s representative presented the document to the council.
Mitch Grove of LTD Broadband presented the contract and provided three originals for signature. Council Woman Bobbie Greenlee moved to accept the contract with the word “Rails” added; Council Member Andrew Felten seconded the motion. Mayor Craig Weis approved the council action.
City officials did not record a roll-call vote in the minutes beyond the motion, second and the mayor’s approval. The contract copies were taken by Grove for signature and return to the City Clerk.
The council’s approval clears a procedural step toward implementing the broadband contract; the minutes do not specify implementation dates, franchise terms, or funding arrangements. The city clerk will hold the signed documents once returned to city staff.
