Webb City Council approves two building permits; city insurance discussion tabled to June

During the May 12, 2025 meeting the Webb City Council approved two building permits and postponed a decision on city insurance.
In other business, the clerk reported street repairs are under way and that rocks swept during repairs will be collected when timing allows. The water system and the north area of the library building had no new updates. Council agreed to table the city insurance discussion until the June meeting.
Councilmember Gibson moved to approve a building permit for Deb Johnson; Councilmember Ganzevoort seconded and the motion passed with all present voting aye. Later, Ganzevoort moved to approve a building permit for Cavon Riley; Gibson seconded and the motion carried unanimously as recorded. Other matters noted during the business portion included elections, a temporary office closure, tree removal and discussion of a sidewalk by the park. Gibson moved to adjourn; Ganzevoort seconded and the meeting concluded. City Clerk Angie Smith attested the minutes and Mayor Katie Mader signed them.
The minutes do not record contested debate on the permits or a separate vote breakdown beyond the statement that "all present voted aye." The insurance item was explicitly deferred to the June meeting for further consideration.
