Wapsie Valley board accepts resignations, approves hires and payroll addendum

Director Kaufman moved and Director Aiello seconded approval of the resignation of Jaden Kuethe from the junior varsity boys basketball coaching position; the motion carried 3-0. The board approved new contracts for Carol Westpfahl as a Special Education Associate at $13.42 per hour and Linda Reding as Administrative Assistant MS/HS at $16.24 per hour after a motion by Kaufman and second by Aiello; the motion carried 3-0.
The board approved an addendum for Christy Tiedt moving compensation to BA+15/15 resulting in a total package listed as $60,000 (base $52,914 plus $7,086 TSS). The board moved to approve termination of Jessica Westcott (JH/HS head cook) and Destiny Quario (JH/HS cook); the motion to approve the terminations carried 3-0.
The board handled all personnel items with unanimous votes; the administration will proceed with onboarding for approved hires and processing of the addendum and terminations in accordance with district policy.
