Browerville council approves design changes, payments and change order for Creamery Avenue and Bridge project

Jeremy Boots, Bolton Menk project manager, gave the Browerville City Council a status update on the Creamery Avenue and Creamery Bridge improvement project and recommended several technical changes and equipment additions.
Following the presentation, the council approved design changes for 11th Street West with a not-to-exceed cap of $25,000. Mayor Hannah Wieshalla moved the measure; Council Member Joshua Goertz seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The council also approved purchasing additional modules for the project’s lift stations per a quote of $4,195. Council Member Christopher Minor moved the purchase; Council Member Sue Wiersgalla seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
Council members approved Contractor RL Larson’s pay application No. 5 for work on the Creamery Avenue and Creamery Bridge improvements. The payment was moved by Council Member Joshua Goertz and seconded by Council Member Madison Rickbeil; the motion passed unanimously.
Finally, the council approved change order 3 to perform additional work to clear out an old structure encountered during construction. Council Member Sue Wiersgalla moved the change order; Council Member Joshua Goertz seconded. Council minutes state the work will be covered by local bridge grant funds.
The approvals complete the actions recorded at the June 11 meeting; the council did not set a new public schedule in the minutes and did not specify revised project completion dates.
