Under Old Business the board agreed to follow up on work needed for the Trailer Park sewage main but did not set a completion date in the minutes. The board also directed a review of town alleys to determine whether cleanup is needed and recorded a need to re‑install a stop sign at the corner of South and NW Front Street.
The board received a title search and survey related to the Madison Railroad property. President Kevin Burnette and Clerk Meek will meet with attorney Pat Magrath and will set up a separate meeting with the railroad to discuss possible options.
Clerk Meek reported that non‑compliance letters were sent to several property owners for property issues, including junk cars; recipients listed in the minutes include Wiper Corporation (Larry Andres), Keith Warren, Jake Smith, Paige Roark and Robert Allen, Gwendolyn Ann Read, John Jackson and Marty Colyer.
There were no delinquent sewer bills reported at the meeting. The board signed and reviewed all bills and vouchers and set the next regular meeting for Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. After no further business the meeting was adjourned.
