Commissioners approve minutes, claims and several administrative items

At the Sept. 3, 2024 meeting, the Dubois County Commissioners approved the minutes of their Aug. 19 meeting and examined claims, allowing those found to be just and due. County Auditor Sandra L. Morton reported August incomes including Recorder $19,144.88 and Health Department $29,619.61.
Auditor Morton presented a draft County Credit Card Policy; commissioners reviewed the draft, made changes and directed a final version be presented at the next meeting.
The board declared multiple items surplus after requests from departments: the Health Department asked to dispose of a conference table and video-conference equipment; Auditor Morton presented additional items to be declared surplus for the Prosecutor, Community Corrections and Treasurer. Motions to declare items surplus were carried unanimously.
Community Corrections Director Wyatt Madden requested a temporary part-time job-shadow position to cover an Administrative Assistant leaving in November; the board approved the position (up to 28 hours per week for approximately five pay periods) pending County Council approval.
These routine administrative items were approved by motion and will be reflected in the county claims and surplus records.
