Police report: calls and arrests down in third quarter, chief says

The Janesville Township Board received its third-quarter police report covering July through the end of September, and Police Chief Johnson told the board that calls and arrests are down from the second quarter.
"Our arrests are down," Chief Johnson said while reviewing the memo and figures. He reported a modest decline in call volume compared with the previous quarter and said there were a few accidents and no DWIs in the period covered by the report.
Board members had no further questions about the report at the meeting; the chief and staff indicated they would provide additional detail to the board on request.
