The Town of Dayton Utility Board met Sept. 17, 2024, and unanimously approved three motions affecting the town's utility operations and contracts.
Marc Buhrmester, who called the meeting to order, moved to approve the August 2024 Adjustment Report; Steve Schuhle seconded and a roll-call vote recorded all four members present voting yes, carrying the motion. Later in new business, Buhrmester reported that BF&S and another company applied to facilitate an OCRA Utility Master Plan Grant but that the other applicant retracted, leaving BF&S as the sole candidate. Buhrmester moved to appoint BF&S as the grant facilitator; Rocky Richards seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve BF&S.
During council comments, Buhrmester reported a proposed $25,000 annual increase to the CB Burke contract and said the town's portion of that increase is $225.38. Buhrmester moved to accept the CB Burke contract and pay the town's percentage of the $25,000 increase; Schuhle seconded. A roll-call vote recorded four yes votes and the motion carried.
No members of the public spoke during the meeting's public-comment period. The meeting record shows town attorney Alicia Albertson had no items for this session. The board adjourned after brief operational updates.
