During routine business at the Jan. 3 meeting, the Rose Creek City Council approved several operational items.
Mayor Craig Weis asked permission to create an ice rink in the park using city equipment; Council Member Mark Conradt moved to approve the request, Council Member Mike Chavez seconded and the motion carried.
Weis also reported the city’s old TV cart no longer works with the new screen and has no future use; Council Member Mike Chavez moved to authorize Clerk Kristine Allas to dispose of the cart, Council Member Mark Conradt seconded and the motion carried.
Council Member Mike Chavez moved to pay all invoices and payroll; Council Member Bobbie Greenlee seconded and the motion was approved. Council Member Greenlee then moved to adjourn; Council Member Andrew Felten seconded and Mayor Weis adjourned the meeting at 7:24 p.m. The next council meeting was set for Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, at 5:45 p.m.
Why it matters: These are routine administrative actions that allow community programming (ice rink), remove obsolete equipment, and maintain city financial operations.
