Crawfordsville Redevelopment Commission elects officers, takes Commerce Park bids under advisement after disqualifying late quote

Virginia Servies was re-nominated and confirmed as president after a motion by Conrad Harvey and a second by Mike Brier; the Commission then confirmed Conrad Harvey as vice president and Jack Whitecotton as secretary by the same recorded 3-0 margins. City Clerk-Treasurer Karyn Douglas administered the oath to the commissioners and the body proceeded to business.
Corey Yund of Yund Outdoor arrived after the published request-for-quotes deadline and attempted to submit quotes for Commerce Park landscaping and mowing. The Commission noted the RFQ required sealed quotes at the Clerk-Treasurer's office until 8:15 a.m. EST, with public opening between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m., and disqualified the late submission.
The Commission opened the timely bids received: for 2026 Commerce Park landscaping, Thompson Lawn & Landscape LLC bid $13,500 and Crawfordsville Outdoor bid $6,360; for Commerce Park mowing, Thompson Lawn & Landscape LLC bid $12,000 and Crawfordsville Outdoor bid $5,560. By motion of Conrad Harvey, seconded by Mike Brier, the Commission voted 3-0 to take both sets of bids under advisement for consideration at the next Redevelopment Commission meeting.
On consent items, the body approved the Dec. 16, 2025 minutes (motion by Mike Brier, seconded by Conrad Harvey), approved a list of claims (motion by Conrad Harvey, seconded by Mike Brier) and acknowledged the financial reports (motion by Mike Brier, seconded by Conrad Harvey), each on recorded 3-0 votes.
The Commission set its next meeting for Feb. 17, 2026.
