Brownsville council reviews engineering needs assessment and maintenance updates

Council reviewed a needs assessment prepared by Bollig Engineering that identified infrastructure priorities including lift stations, sanitary collection systems, streets, localized flooding and wastewater treatment. City Maintenance Dean Twite suggested adding Bluff View Manor and the fire station to the study; council agreed by consensus to include those items.
Twite reported he completed and passed the first Sacramento State lesson series and said MPCA records are being updated to reflect personnel changes; he also said Ron Cordes is now recorded as the city's wastewater Class C operator. Twite raised a request from Tyler Bruggeman asking the city to apply asphalt cold patch between his cement driveway and the paved street (Bruggeman offered to cost share); the council took no action on the request. Twite also told the council about a mud slide on North Second Street and reported maintenance work on the Community Center air conditioning and furnace.
No formal actions were recorded on the cold-patch request or the mud slide during the meeting.
