The Pleasant Hill Park and Recreation Commission approved the meeting agenda and the March 12, 2026 regular-session minutes by unanimous vote of those present at its May 14, 2026 meeting.
City staff reported monthly highlights including a ribbon cutting for the Doanes Park playground, a Storywalk in the Park kickoff, a Tree Spree with 10 registrants, Earth Day trash clean-ups at Copper Creek Lake Park, the 2026 Springtime Hill Climb with 78 registrants, and Pleasant Hill Pickleball Leagues with 76 registrants. Staff announced upcoming events: the Pleasant Hill Fishing Derby on June 6, 2026 (8–11 a.m.) and the Loop the Hill Trail Tour on June 13, 2026 (9–10 a.m.).
The commission noted the next scheduled cemetery clean-up window of July 15–31 and that staff is preparing for Memorial Day using plot-tracking maps to ensure veterans' memorials are not missed. Commissioners confirmed the next regular meeting for June 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and listed a future agenda item to review the Youth Center Reservation Policy. Loren Lown moved to adjourn, Vicki Stodden seconded, and the meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
