The adoption followed a motion by Council member Daters, seconded by Mayor Madaleine Welton; the resolution passed unanimously with aye votes from Daters, Faircloth, Stalzer, Vanderah and Welton. The resolution sets the city’s budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026.
City records presented at the meeting showed a Treasurer’s ending-balance for March of $198,908.51 and itemized March receipts of $5,197.66, including road-use tax and local option sales tax receipts.
The council did not receive public comment during the hearing. With the budget adopted, the council’s next routine meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
