Chickasaw County supervisors approve $32,572.07 interfund transfer and two minor subdivisions

The board adopted resolution 622-26-43 to move $32,572.07 from the RSB fund to the EMS fund for fiscal year 25-26 after a motion by Steve and a second by Isaac; the roll call recorded five affirmative votes.
The board also approved two minor-subdivision resolutions. Resolution 622-26-42, a minor subdivision for Hoover, was presented by the land-use assessor who explained the parent parcel will be divided so that some acreage will be sold to north parcels while other acreage will adjoin landowners to the south; supervisors discussed the ordinance threshold that exempts parcels over 37 acres but found the resulting configuration required a minor-subdivision approval. The measure passed on a motion by Travis and a second by Steve with a unanimous vote.
The second subdivision, resolution 622-26-44 for Block, will split farm ground and create three parcels under the county's 2007 minor-subdivision ordinance; the board adopted the resolution on a motion by Steve, second by Isaac, again by unanimous vote.
Why it matters: the interfund transfer formalizes an internal budget adjustment for FY 25-26 that supports EMS operations, and the subdivision approvals update local land records and permit planned parcel sales.
