Chambers County staff asked the Commissioners Court for authorization to solicit bids for rehabilitation and rework of South Main Street in Anahuac.
Staff told the court funds remained available in the line item and recommended using those funds to rehab South Main through Oak Island, including striping and related road work; a couple of nearby Stowell roads may be added to the same contract. Commissioner Gore had requested the work and staff said it was a use of remaining funds rather than leaving the balance unspent.
Commissioner Titus moved to go out for bids; a second was recorded and the motion carried on a voice vote. The court approved issuing the bid solicitation so staff can proceed with procurement and project scheduling.
